Confidentiality

Data are collected only for statistical purposes. State Data Agency guarantees the confidentiality of data received from individuals at all interview, data processing, aggregated statistical information production and publication stages. Every employee of Statistics Lithuania working with data signs a data confidentiality commitment.

Statistical survey results are published in the form of aggregated statistical information, tables of indicators, diagrams, other numerical or visual information. Data are depersonalised, making it impossible to deduce any confidential information about individuals who participated in the survey.

Respondent identification data – name, surname, personal number – are used only at the data collection stage or when there is a need to combine interview and register data. At the data processing and statistical information production stages, any information enabling whether direct or indirect identification of a person is removed.
